The Brahmaputra-Jamuna is the braided- anabranched sand-bed part of the river in the plains of Assam and Bangladesh. Its braid belt is about 10 km wide, with local widths up to 15 km. The sand-bed braided Brahmaputra-Jamuna River flows within Bangladesh as Jamuna (Figure 2), is characterized by dynamic in nature for its flow and sediment variabilities (Best et al., 2007).
