Monitor is a 20" Sony Trinitron Multiscan 20sfII<BR>It's as old as dirt, almost as old as sin.<BR>But it's big and works great - except...<BR>Something is wrong with the green. Sometimes it works ... I recently got a killer deal on a used Sony FD Trinitron 21 inch monitor.

It is about 4 years old and is model # GDM-F500R.<BR><BR>The main problem I have is that the screen is overly bright. Or, more ... I think the last produced Sony Trinitron 4:3 CRT TV's were:- 21" - KV-21LS30U 29" - KV-29LS30U Were these the last Sony 4:3 CRT models? (In the UK at least) Also, I realise that 'latest/last model' doesnt always equal 'best', so if there are older models that are considered superior, or even other brands I should be considering, please let me know.

I don't want to get off topic here, but it may be useful to know that I have recently bought a... Last option is the purity needs setting up, but you MUST eliminate all other options first - a common cause on Sony Trinitron sets was the scan coils actually sliding back on the CRT neck (part of the setting up is sliding the coils backwards and forwards, then locking them in the optimum place). Well i thought to myself that the 12 year old 14 Sony Trinitron ( KT14- LT1U) that has done faithful service high up in the kitchen in the steam & cooking fat be replaced.
